Tell me something, have you ever thought about writing a will?
Do you think about dying?
Most of us think death, but usually not our own… Most of the time it is other people, people we know, people we don’t, there’s so much death in the news, in our faces, celebrities we have admired have died suddenly, for example, Lisa Taddeo wrote ‘The Final Days of Heath Ledger‘ soon after the actor died, a letter made to seem like it was written by the late actor himself, it’s ‘fake’ of course, but what if we could do that too? What if we could send letters, after we’ve died?
Would you like to declare love? Tell your parents how you really felt about your childhood? Or maybe, just let your best friend know that she might want to clear out your ’sex’ cupboard, before your loved ones start putting together your things…
Well, now it seems we can…
Post Expression and Just In Case I Die are two websites that have come to my attention recently. Post Expression allows you to create and store multimedia messages that will be sent by e-mail to friends and family after you die, and Just In Case I Die does more or less the same thing, though it’s a tad bit riskier, as if you forget to log into the system within a specific period they will assume you are dead and send the message anyway… This might be embarrassing, especially if you are making grand confessions.
What do you think?
