Mark Ronson: The Podcast

Do you like cookie dough?

I do, I really, really do… I have done for years, chocolate chip cookie dough, and honestly, I’m not a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies, but cookie dough! Well…
When I was about twelve, I went a bit cookie dough crazy, I had pocket money and I was in the grocery store with my mother, I picked up a three pack of those Pillsbury ready made cookie dough things, and told her I was going to eat it all. She smiled, then ignored me… I should have known then that the consequences of ‘that to which mother does not object, is usually worse than that to which she does’.

Five hours later I was puking my guts out.
Too much cookie dough.

This is how I am beginning to feel about Mark Ronson, and even though I am soo not at the puke stage yet, I’m willing to risk major withdrawal symptoms, if I could go a week without hearing his name. I am sure those of you who have been a fan of his for years and years feel the same way, undeniably 2007 was his year, and 2008 looks to be even bigger, this is amazing, but like cookie dough, too much of a good thing…

Mark recently recorded a podcast, talking about 2007, Lily, Amy, and all that he is and aspires to be…
“Kids used to call me Commie, but I loved New York as soon as I got there. We’d take the school bus to track meets and football games, and everyone would sing De La Soul lyrics from Three Feet High and Rising. That was New York, it was hip hop. It was weird, a bunch of precocious, Upper West Side private school boys singing Stetsasonic’s Talking All That Jazz.”
