I usually don’t post on weekends, but I just couldn’t help myself with this one…
Fashion students, like myself, always get exited when we here about new projects and companies like Not Just A Label, creatives who give students, recent graduates and up and coming designers the chance to showcase their work and collaborate with like minded individuals.
I also really admire like the fact that it was started by young creatives, not media giants and corporate money makers (like all the other fashion networking and style sites that seem to be popping up all over the place).
In their own words, “NOT JUST A LABEL.com is an platform to showcase the fashion designers of today who are ready to present their collections and to nurture the embryonic ideas for the
upcoming talents of tomorrow. A global showroom where trend scouts, tastemakers, fashionistas
and stylists can source talent globally”.
Not Just A Label was started by an ex University of the Arts student, on a kitchen table in Shoreditch (so you know they’re the real thing and honestly passionate about the project), and with a variety of custom user options, events, groups and directories, its all the fashionistas about town seem to be whispering about! And soon it will be the most important bookmark on the web browsers of those who are serious about fashion, and I know they will never sell out!
Below are images, showing off some designs from a few of the hot new talent who have signed up to Not Just A Label:

So, my darlings, if you are a fashion designer or fashion student, I suggest you visit NOTJUSTALABEL.COM and join the black sheep society!
Here are a few other fashion networking sites you might want to check out:
Fashionspace.com
Also started by a University of the Arts student, as well as the ability to network and showcase your work, they also feature ‘’social trading” where you can swap and sell your goods and services.
Find yours truly on fashionspace here.
Iqons.com
Not so new, but with solid backing from industry professionals, IQONS is a fashion community highlighting creative talent. It is pop culture through the eyes of fashion. It’s world wide, with an extremely impressive members list, oh and yes, feel free to add me there too, here.
LExposure.net
Quite new and also based in London, Lexposure.net is the first social and business platform custom-built for people in the fashion and creative scenes. I’m still navigating, and getting used to the sites features, but if you’re already on it find me, here.
