It all started with a £52 tee shirt.

“Who are this Morphine Generation?” I asked myself, “why should I pay so much for a goddam t shirt I could probably make myself, if I had time, space, energy, a black American apparel tee, bleach, distressing materials… ” After a quick mental calculation of the total cost of ‘making the t shirt myself, I gave in and ordered the Morphine Generation Punks Cotton Tee shown above from Bunny Hug.
It arrived the next day, and after a fit and test run last night, today I plan to wear it with my skater skirt, and wedges whilst I run around looking at flats (again).

Then I wanted more…
My new Morphine Generation tee shirt, fits so well, and is so soft and vintagey, I feel like I’ve had it for years, it works perfectly with my very hobo (and very anti florals) Summer look, and at about 2 am this morning, I found myself googling the brand, naturally, looking for more products, and guess what? I’ve found a new brand that perfectly dresses my sensibilities.

About Morphine Generation:
Started in a dingy garage in Hollywood, CA, over the Summer of ‘03. Morphine Generation was founded by LA rock musician/graphic artist Erik Hart and LA-based director/fashion photographer Elliot Hans. Erik combined the emotion of his aggressive, visceral and oversexed performances, with Elliot’s keen eye for photographic beauty to create the inspiration for their Morphine Generation clothing. “Rock n Roll, Decadence and Luxury”. With no formal fashion training and just 3 handmade samples, the boys got orders from some of the world’s top high-end accounts, such as Fred Segal, Theodore, Lisa Kline, Atrium, Bloomingdales, and Ships Tokyo. The Morphine Generation line consists of a kind hand, distressed t-shirts and polos. All garments are made form the finest and most luxurious cottons. Which are designed to drape and compliment the body. Each garment is silk screened, with original artwork, which screams and shouts to be seen.
